Just wanted everyone to know that last year was the last year of me organizing the Blazer Bash event, I will not be able to attend this year. I would like the option of not having to go every year and believe it's in my best interest to pull myself from this event, numerous factors have led me to this decision and I believe in the long run it’s what’s best for me. I would like to mention ColoradoK5 is not going anywhere nor am I selling the site etc. I just no longer am going to organize the Blazer Bash event, everything else remains the same. Thank you for understanding!

With that being said, Blazer Bash will still continue this year and in the future, Scott (mrk5) and others from CK5 are going to work hard and loosly organize this year's event. I believe ORD is still going to sponsor the BBQ as in years past so not a lot is going to change, you just won't see me there this year.

If you plan on going to this years Blazer Bash keep an eye on this forum or subscribe to it for further details, i'm sure Scott and others will chime in etc..

This year we're going to go for more of a Blazer Bash "Lite".

We'll still have the BBQ Friday night at the city park. There will still be a raffle. It sounds like ORD will step up and host the BBQ again. At this point the biggest question are the trail runs.

I don't think we are going to have to do a registration fee. The only thing we will probably do is at least have some sort of registration because at the very least Stephen and the gang from ORD need to have an idea of the number of mouths to feed.

The biggest unknown at this point are the trail runs. It's nice to have someone on the run that has some experience with the trail, but that may not be possible. If anyone is willing to serve as a trail guide on a particular trail, shoot me a PM and let me know what trail you'd like to do. Usually the easier trails are the hardest to cover.

Also, because this is the "Lite" version, you are definitely welcome to just do your own thing. It's possible the trails that are planned may not appeal to everyone, which is perfectly understandable. This year is going to be a big investment to get there, so make sure you are doing the trails you want to do.

Stay tuned for updates.

I hear ya man!!! Not sure if I want to absorb the cost myself. I think I need to find a "RZR" bash locally since it looks like theres no "blazer".

It's only time and money, you can't take either with you... Live life, wheel hard,do your best and don't forget to smile.:waytogo:

Well, I had hoped to meet you this year if I could make it down. I also understand that sometimes life gets in the way. Hopefully I will be able to at least make the BBQ, and meet some more of the brotherhood. I may stay overnight and just run some light trails with my kids.

I bet you won't be able to leave after just one night. It's a cool place to see especially if you have a couple days. There's plenty of trails to take the kids on. My 2 year old loved it.

Also, thanks to Steve for all the effort organizing this every year. Given how many people were there last year, it must be a huge time commitment to setup and keep organized. It's a really fun reason to get out and explore the countryside once a year and meet a bunch of people I wouldn't normally be able to.

Well, I live in Utah and have been to quite a few places in the Moab area. I am sure I can drag myself away, since I can always go back down for just a few hours time commitment.

Thanks Steve

I am planning on oging this year after 4 years of reading and showing my total ignorance of 4x4 wheelin on the forums.
But this place is great as I have learned alot
I am sorry that you will not be able to make it Steve, I was looking forward to meeting you and saying thanks in person. However, you deserve the same flexibility as everyone else.

To everyone else planning on going, I look forward to seeing everyone.

Fred

Sorry to hear about the changes but I have the upmost confidence in Scott and Co. to get er done. Im on the fence about going but think I just might. Where do i register? Is the old BB site going to get updated?
Ive been looking forward to it since last year and hope my wallet lets me drive again.

The BlazerBash website won't be used this year, I believe everything will be setup here on CK5.

Hopefully sooner rather than later :deal:

Right now we are trying to clear one hurdle that just jumped up and smacked us in the face. The city park has been reserved for something else for that entire weekend. So now we are working on finding a different location for the BBQ.
