changing intake on a 454

Does anyone know if its possible to put a regular carb and intake on a 1992 454 and will the engine run fine ?
I need to know will I need to change anything internally, and can I just pull my distributor out of my 78 350 engine and use it . I have done some searching but not finding the right answers.

Should work fine. Check the intake ports and cooling passages to see if they line up OK.

also the 92 will prob be peanut port heads. so makesure the intake matches the port size.

and the dist should fit no problems.
