Charcoal canister substitutes?

Oh, OK, I see, that makes sense then, I thought you said you used the factory vent line for the return line. Nevermind then.

Ah, I meant the charcoal canister metal vent line that runs from the tank along the frame rail to the canister. My setup is weird so I should have explained that better from the start.

So where did that line connect to on the sending unit? That's plugged right now?

It didn't connect to the sending unit at all. These old tanks have two vent tubes directly on the top of the tank. Both of those vents connected to a metal line on the frame rail that went up to the charcoal canister. When i converted mine to tbi, I modified my sending unit to add a return line and then used the old vent line as a fuel pump return line and just plugged the vents on the tank.

Yesterday i unplugged the vents and ran hoses from each vent into a single line that has a small vent cap on it. It seems to be working fine but I need to drive it more to know where it's actually any better or worse. That'll happen over the next couple weeks.
