i have a 1986 k5 with a crate motor an the charging system is mest up and not charging the system is there any way of fixing it fast. any help is needed trying to get trail ready for my birthday

Well you have to be a little more informative about the problem exactly. With the truck running at idle what is the voltage to the battery? It should be around 13.6 volts. Have you cleaned all the battery connections and
checked grounds? I am going to assume the alt belt is tight enough and the battery is in good condition. What makes you think it isn't charging a Gage or hard starting? Need more info to help.
