Nope. If it's a quality piece, not turned out by a machine, most of us realize what kind of cost is associated with that sort of domestic, low-volume production.
Any of us could probably build one, but if you had to purchase all the fab tools, learn to use them, buy the materials, then actually construct it associating some value to your time, the cost of buying it from someone for that price isn't bad.
Add in trying to make a living from it, building rent, other business expenses, and I can certainly see it.
When I see high prices on things like that, I see someone who understands the actual cost of business and has done the calculations to make sure that when all is said and done, they are making money on the deal.
I like it, but I can't see if the hitch hangs low enough to hit before the tank, which would be my only concern. That and the receiver hole, that seems like it wouldn't support it very well, being angled as it appears.
