Cheap 6.2l Injection Pumps

So anyone trying to order a pump from them should have a '93 Chevy with a 6.5L TD right? ;)
 
One thing I noticed.

There is a core charge but it's not stated how much it is. It will be added in later. I'm sure you could call them but I think it should be clearly posted in the Ad. :mad: Be aware you only have 30 days to do the swap. I'm fairly certain all the other places give you 90 days.

I'd also suggest you order by the IP Model # and not year/ engine. Here's a brief explanation I found somewherez;)

I can tell you briefly what the numbers after "DB2" mean. "8" is the number of cylinders, "29" is the size of the plungers in thousands of an inch. Typically, 6.2s had 29 plungers, 6.5s had 31 and Marine pumps used 33. I would get a pump with 31 thou plungers. They will work fine on an NA 6.5 and will still be OK when you add your turbo. If you want high HP, the Marine pumps with 33 plungers are the way to go, but cost more and would probably be a bit much for NA engines. The numbers after that refer to the advance curve, but a Stanadyne dealer can rebuild any DB2 pump to 6.5 TD specs. 4911 pumps were used on 6.5 TD’s and that is what most people want, but the N/A DB2831 5088 pumps will work fine as well. Its fairly easy to turn the fuel screw up (or down) to suit your specific engine and then adjust it as you add modifications.

One more thing, I would buy a pump with the updated head and rotor. The earlier DB2 heads can have hot start problems. A late 90’s 5088 NA pump is a very good starting point. They are usually cheaper than 4911’s and have the 31 thou plungers and later head assembly.
And remember that DB2s were used on other engines as well, so not all DB2s will fit your 6.5!
