SO I needed to extend my driveshaft after my 52 swap and after talking to a few people on here this is what I came up with. Cost me a grand total of $4.50 :woot:

I cut the tube off, and put a new DOM tube on. With new 1350 yoke from spicer. Total cost was 44.00

now your talking,

Thats how I did my old one, except i had two shafts so there was no gap.

But still looks good.

The trick is the channel or angle or whatever you use to keep it straight. Hypothetically speaking, I know from personal experience that if you get it AT ALL out of round, the shaft vibrates even at low speeds... :doah:

so far so good. Had it up to about 30mph in 4HI and all was good. Didnt really feel any vibrations from it at all. Cant wait to take it out again and actually use the 4wd.

Nice work on the extension. I have done the sleeving thing before just for strength.

Have you flexed the pass side out yet? I honestly dont think the stock slip setup will slip enough to keep up with the travel the 52's provide. I have 12" of slip and use about 8" of it.
