This is exactly how I found mine, the ad read "pair of dana 60s from 1978 chevy 1 ton" they turned out to be a DRW dana 60 and cab & chassis 14 bolt with 4.56 gears. I picked them up for $400.
its a k30 so id buy it.
i found an ad for a "dually rear 4.10 $200" after some quick investigation on the phone, he was getting rid of the remains of a k30 cc dually.
i asked if he had the front axle as well and he said yeah its going to scrap this weekend.
"the ring and pinion or something is screwed up, it jumps and pops and its no good.
ill throw it in for another 200."
i said well... i guess i can use the rotors... ill take it.
it was the auto hubs screwing up! '84 60 and 70 for 400 bucks delivered!
