Ok, what’s the best tire deal out there?

My area has crappy used tire market.

The suburban does 500-1000 miles a year, mostly non freeway, and have become the chief tire rotter at my house.

It tends to get worn tires from the Dmax, but even that only goes 4-5000 miles a year.

Suggestions in off brand, retread, etc?

33x12.50r17 or 285/70r17

Thanks!

Was wondering about those. Thanks.

I’ve always run AT’s, but with the amount of highway time this thing sees, I may step up to m/t’s. Would be much better for dirt launching the boat.

I see you’re in Truckee CA.
Call Glens tires in SLC UT.
They always hook me up with the $40-$50 special used tires. They usually have some tread left on them and for sure hold air.
It might be worth a road trip.
Those are all I’ve used at my house for that last 3 years. Had pretty good luck with them. I work at a garbage transfer station, so always getting flats. After 10+ plugs ina tire, I just run down to glens and they hook me up for $40 with enough tread to pass a safety inspection and holds air. I’m happy with them.

I've pieced together matching sets before from local and online sources. I've bought several tires from these guys over the years: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ss...=arsinc&_oac=1&_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211. Sometimes a good LT is <$100 at 90% or so, and that's delivered to my door. That's mostly stock-sized stuff, though. Selection is probably more limited at 33".

I also ran through a couple of sets of Treadwrights back in the day. Never had any problems.

I have a set of LT285/70/17 used you can have for cheap.
They have plenty of thread and I am just storing them after I put bigger tires
