While wandering through the local pic-n-pull yard I spotting something useful, on a Ford! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif It seems that the 80 and later pickups and vans had an option available for an external tranny cooler. It's the stacked plate design (Like B&M sells as the Super Cooler, which is a repackaged Long brand cooler) about 11 inches wide and 3 inches tall. It also uses threaded fittings with hard line for the connections. Personally I prefer a much larger cooler for a tranny, but it looks like it will make one hell of a power steering fluid cooler! At $4 I just couldn't pass it up. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I plan to flush it out first though, while watching for any signs of tranny bits coming out of it. I don't need that kind of stuff passing through the steering pump and gear. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
