I'm just running an open element on my 77. I love blasting through water and the last time I did it, the engine stalled. I think it sucked in a little water. I'm thinking of putting the stock closed air cleaner back on. Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin
the one thing that i havent personally tried is the stock cleaner, cut off the "nipple" or whatever the hell that hting is called just enought so it will clear the dizzy, and point it at that direction, you could even leave the top portion on it, that way water has to go OVER the aircleaner and THEN get sucked into the filter assy.
I've heard people using an air box off a dodge ram truck with a 318 to make snorkels out of and that they supposedly fit the 4 barrel 5.125" whatever top of carb
