Well, apparently the truck is no longer for sale on eBay. I wonder if people were bidding crazy amounts with no intention of buying. For me, that K5 was worth probably about $8K.

On a side note, why would you go to all of the trouble of the nice paint job and clean engine bay and leave the firewall that original yellow color which doesn't match the rest of the truck?

Not sure, I know bidding went up to 14K last time I saw, then it was all of a sudden not for sale anymore. I hope whoever got it appreciates what it is.

Lately on eBay I'm seeing these generic "Bidder" user names, like "Bidder 7" or "Bidder 9". I see them all the time on every auction it seems. Is that something eBay does to keep the users names private or what?

Well when I checked it last it was at $15185, and now it's started again.
So either the bid ended without meeting the reserve or ...
What could have happened?
If the guy has his reserve higher than $15000 he's crazy.

I think I read that they are doing that now. Probably to keep bidders from harassing each other or making side deals.
