Check out this Flip (pic)

Ok, I'll bite, since that image was apparently not representative of your current stuff and used without your consent, how about posting a pic and more info on what you got now and let us decide if we like it or not? Also, what’s up with that “not mentioning names”? If you have verifiable test data (shear strength, etc.) then there is nothing wrong with comparison info especially when moving into a new market (like this board might be if you have good stuff and don’t insult everyone).

Me, I’m always interested in saving money if it doesn’t cost me more than I’m willing to accept in quality. Save money and get BETTER quality? Man, I would be all over that. I'm currently planning on an ORD unit in the next month or two (as soon as I get bigger tires) so, here is your chance, convince me this is a better deal and you can sell me a pair...

I just find it funny that now that something was said you guys arent talkin trash about his work,Now your thinking of giving it a shot.It was funny to start trashin him,but if you say something about the products you fellas use you get a little upset.Come awwwn guys,if you haven't tried it dont knock it.Lets just get along and go wheeling.

Your mouth is wrighting checks that your ass can't cash!!!!!!!

Those 44's are in Laramie Wy.I think he is asking 1500.00 for the rubber. They are in great shape.

Ok we are really product loyal here and this is testiment to that point. I have no malace or ill wiil towards a component that hasnt been given a chance to be proven. A natural degree of doubt/questioning, yes. I am pretty sure ORD went thru the grinder at first too. Though I dont think that the public thrashing of anyone here is good for the site. Competition is good for production of products, improvements to the currentones out there, and prices that we pay. Shody stuff will weed its way out on its own.

With that said. I would like to know how the product has been tested for lateral stress and load as well as off-angle shear. I to, have been working on an alternative to ORD aswell. I am making it out of all 3/4 steel with a frame bracket to convert the open frame rail to boxed. Its is holding very well and with minor frame rail deflection in a lab type enviornment. I have been using hydrolic presses to create the loads and when I am ready to do testing on the trails we can see what its all about.

I agree with a few of the other posts. If you can provide proof that the parts are as strong as or stronger than the others, and save us money, then I'm sure a few people would be willing to give them a try. It's just hard to try a newer, unknown company based on the testimony of someone who works there. ORD has been proven time after time, that's why they are so popular. I'll probably be looking for some flips for my 1970 soon, and if you give us some proof of how yours hold up, I don't have any problems with giving them a try. Most people are a little aprehensive of new things at first, so you'll have to show them just how good your stuff is. Keep us updated. Later.

Who says that size doesn't matter?

Eh, excuse me flexychevy, but I'm the one who asked for info and considered "giving it a shot" if he can back up his claims. If you look back through the posts, I never trashed his work. Those who did, have not responded or offered to "give it a shot". Personally, I couldn't tell enough by the original pic to judge it and I've seen other modified factory brackets that held up just fine.

Damn you all are so anal in here. Lighten up. If you posted your picture on the net somewhere before then the picture is free for posting as long as its not trademarked or copyrighted.

As for the shackle, it looks pretty decent to me. There are several people in here that wheel the piss outta their rigs that made their own flips similar to this. The ORD's can break too. Depends on the circumstances. If you wanna get the ORD's get them, if you wanna get these get them.
If you wanna post a comment on these and call them week, thats fine too. They are all just comments, GUYS/GIRLS
You all dont need to get your panties in a wad.
If you stick it out there prepair to have someone take a wack at it. This can apply to more things than one.
ITS ALL GOOD.

Sorry, but this isn't true. Everything posted to a web site has a legally inferred copyright. They made us learn that in the web design classes that I took. You can't just take other people's stuff without their permission.

Even if you upload it to someone elses site? Opps never mind I forgot pictures presented here are not on this site. My bad.
There linked I forgot. But anyway, that wasn't really the issue here. But that does make me wonder then, how many websites are up and running illegally then if every picture is "INFERRED" as copyrighted. Thats like tell arresting me for making a copy of my cd to cassette for the ride in the truck. Aint gonna happen.

But anyway.... And so life on K5 goes on. Another bitter day in the office. LOL!!!!!

Its friday, Its Miller Time.

I didn't mean to offend anyone's work by posting the pic. I just wanted to show what another enthusiast has brought to the fullsize market. It's good to see something different especially when it was custom built. Not too many people can say "YEAH, I BUILT THAT." WillCoFab and FlexyChevy are new to the CK5 Family and I think we started on a bad note. My appologies go out to you guys. I didn't think my post would cause all this drama. So maybe we can drop all the trash and get back to business... Building Better Trucks.

It's one of those things where you have to get caught first.

The copyright owner will then usually first ask you to remove the offending item (pic, article, etc). If you don't, then the lawyers get involved.

If you want to find out real quick how it works, put a picture of Mickey Mouse on a web site. The Disney police will be contacting you shortly.

They protect their rights to those images with a vengance! Just because they post them at disney.com com doesn't mean that anyone is welcome to use them.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled topic...
