What size/type of tires were you running in that mud run? 40x15x15 Swampers?

I like the 1" Square Tube bracing you put in under the floor for support. Any more pics of that portion of the project. I'm going to have to replace my floor soon too. :doah:
 
thanks guys! there 36 inch dick cepecs (i wish they were swampers, ida probly done better) but its also a daily driver, so my wife didnt want real agressive tires (she drives it more than i do.....for now).i welded 2 bars together for the tailgate area THICK ones 2x2 and 2x3. then i put 1 inch 14 gage square tube all over. theres not a picture on there but i got sheet metal and rolled beads in it for the floor, and screwed it down so now its removable if needed. still has the back seat n all.and its tough as hell!
 
The other vids are cool too! A guy i used to be friends with a long time ago was totally into Bug's as well. He had a '72 Custom Bug with a built 2180 and close ratio tranny. It was a pretty fast for a street car back then.

What's the fastest ET for the '62 so far? Looks like it launches pretty hard. :bow:

The K5 vid was good too. I was sitting here watching the mud run thinking that it must be near to overheating...and then you shut it down. :wink1:

and with that fast paced stuff you call music,,,,i thought i was going to have a heart attack with the music,,,and the VERY slow movement in the pit.

interesting, thats about all i can say :thinking:
 
yea that was my first time entering it in a mud pit contest, i thought i did pretty good for my first time......i made it further than a lot of other trucks. and its a daily driver. the band in the jimmy video is devildriver, the 62 video is darkest hour and the 66 is fear factory. snail racing? it had a 2110cc motor in the videos, was easly doing high 13s on street tires, im putting in a 2332cc turbo motor right now, itll be in the 10s in a quarter no sweat.

Why are you measuring your engines in cc? Just curious.
