ok when i was replacing my vaccum lines and i was taking the ones of the check valve i cracked it because it was real brittle....so i went to Advanced and got a two way port check valve that said gm on it so i put it in....the only thing is it was different from the one i took out....the middle part was alot bigger....is this ok or does it have to be the exact replacement??

it is HELP! part number 47150....it just says gm 86-94

You should be OK with the replacement part. I assume this vacuum port is for your heater controls? Either way, it should work fine.

hope so....should I try and find an exact replacement?

If you really want the GM part I might have one from my parted-out 1989 suburban, but I would need a pic to make sure. I would give it to you for the cost of shipping. But, again, I would need a pic to make sure I have it.

one thing i noticed since put the new lines in and the check valve was that i am hearing a noise that kind of sounds like a fan and it gets louders with the rpms

mouse if i cant find one around here i`ll let u know

here is the one i put in....but i dont have a pic of the original one

if that isn`t the reason for the noise then what could it be

I will be out of town on business for a few days, when I get back I'll dig through my spare parts pile... I looked briefly yesterday, but didn't find it.

The various check valves operate under different parameters. If it works, don't fix it, but if you are noticing any negative affects, change it for an original match. Most auto parts house will carry those replacement parts. Keep your old around to match it up.

I dug around and through all my garage, but couldn't find that part. I did find a couple of other things I was looking for :doah: , but unfortunately I couldn't find the vacuum valve, sorry.
