Well, I'm looking to strip the paint off the panels so I can get some bodywork done. Its actually for my dad's 53 Chev 1/2 ton that he wants to bring back to original shape. I was wondering if you guys had any reccomendations on a product and where to get it. Also, I'm in Canada if that makes a difference to ya! Thanks all.

Aircraft stripper, spray can or gallon at your local auto parts store. Works great. Just wear GOOD gloves and clothes you can throw away. It nuetralizes with water so you can do it in the driveway and hose it off.

I second the aircraft stripper, that stuff removes skin to if you're not careful.

DUDE THAT SUFF ROCKS!!! I did my fender in no time...

another good thing to use is the wheel that fits into your drill.. think it is made by 3m.. can be picked up at autozone too....

looks like a hard sponge and it wears down as you go.. but I did an entire fender right to metal and it didnt even hurt the metal :wink1:
