Who is the best to go with? I was looking at the ORD kit and it looks pretty good and it says it come with everything including the boots to go around the shifters on the floor. Also anyone know of a tech write up that shows you how to go inside the t-case and grind the rails so that you can do front wheel drive only?

I bought my shifters from ORD. Here is a pic that i used to grind my shift rails and it works perfectly.

Thats looks easy enough. I have taken apart and NP231 t-case a few times but if I remember right the 205 is all gear driven inside. How complicated is it to take one of the apart and put back together?

Taking it apart is very easy:D

I haven't put it back together though:haha::haha:

From what I've read I don't see any problems. If you've taken a T-Case apart this should be about the same;)

IMO, the NP205 is the easiest transfer case to rebuild, but even a fool can still mess up. :doah::1zhelp:

Granted, it's the only transfer case I've ever rebuilt (I’ve done two). I right now in the process in rebuilding a Dana 18 for my brother's jeep, and that transfer case was a pain to get apart.

Oh BTW, I have a set of http://www.jbfab.net/ stainless shifters but the shifters didn't fit though my shifter hole quite right. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219992
