Have a chance to pick up a Chevy 350 motor , came out of 1975 3/4 ton truck. Motor has miles on it and like everyone "it ran when parked"

Would this be a good candidate for a mild build?

Think crank is forged not cast ?

Thanks

75 out of a truck, it will probably be a 4 bolt main. All of the rest of the parts are junk unless you need numbers match. Crank will be cast

Not worth too much

If the block is good, and hopefully original bore, it’s probably worth that as a core

I wouldn't bet on it being a four bolt main.

If I was going to build a 350, I would look for a one piece rear main seal, roller block.

Martin

I would agree w Martin if you haven’t already bought it. If your going for mild build and torque, a cast crank 2 bolt main, and stock rods, would be fine. Put your money into the cam and induction.
