i have a 90 v1500 suburban with tbi 350 with 250,000 miles on it and it needs facelift. my question is i have a older 350 carb motor that i was thinking of building so i will not have dowtime just swap them out when build is done.question is is there a big difference between the to old carb motor and the newer tbi motor?

The old engine that you have will have a two peice rear main seal. This means that the oil pan, flywheel and blancer will all be different. The swap can be done. Just make sure that the older 350 has a cam that will work with the TBI or you will have a problem

The angle of the center bolts on the intake are different. I have heard that you can redrill the intake to work on post 1987 heads but I am not sure. 1986 and earlier are one angle and 1987 and later up to the Vortec bolt pattern are different.
