I've got a complete, running SBC 400. High mileage, good oil pressure.
Perfect builder or core.
$350.
Trades.. VW's, cb750's, $$, ????????

400 sbc

Yeah, does run, but should be rebuilt before using. Was a ranch truck.

I don't know much about the 400 sbc other than my dad loves them. Is it four bolt? are they all four bolt?

i would tear it down and see if its a virgin block. if it is no matter if 2 or 4 bolt its worth more then 300 bucks to the hot rodders!

and post the block number, should be some 3s and 0s. That will tell you everything there is to know. If it's a high nickel block, I'll buy it for your 300 bucks :)

does it have 2 or 3 freeze plugs on each side of the block? If it has 2 it is 2 bolt and 3 is 4 bolt main.
