My GF's brother wants to start wheeling harder so he is looking to swap 3/4 ton axles under his d100 dodge. It already has a front 44 with a detroit. Since he has 3 sets of chevy 3/4 4x4 axles. Can a 8 bolt chevy hub be put on a dodge 44 1/2 ton axle? He would then just swap in the 14ff he has.

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. Although, I believe there is a difference in the caliper mounting between the two. If you took the the caliper bracket as well, that might be less of an issue. Just make sure the flexible brake lines will still mount to the GM calipers or have a plan b, (i.e. new extended brakes lines) to make sure.

Later,
Buddy
