I see a difference between a stock steering arm mounted to a chevy dana 60 and one mounted to a dodge dana 60. The dodge arms seem to have a slight rise, whereas the chevys tend to fall below the mounting surface.

Can these two be swapped?

Thanks

They are tapered from different directions, Chevy DRE comes in from the top (nut on the bottom) and the Dodge DRE comes in from the bottom (nut on the top).

Some guys taper the Dodge ones from the opposite direction for a cheap raised steering arm (the Dodge drag link ends are a bit smaller) but you don't get much more than 1/2 engagement in the steering arm that way.

Damn

My cousin already has a lift block and 2" pitman arm drop on his truck. This would have helped big time. Neither of us like the "S" draglinks.

I think he's going to machine a new arm for himself. Was hoping this could be an easier answer.

I've got the Dodge arm. It makes up for approximately 3" difference over the GM arm.

I sent mine in to Kert and he welded up the hole and retapered it to fit like the GM arm.

Simple enough. :waytogo:
