Chevy Dump Bed - PTO from TH400/NP205, Other specs coming in

Not too worried about engine size but can you tell from the pic…?

Definitely a big block. You’d have to get casting numbers to verify exactly what it is but it looks like a typical truck 454.

Aluminum intake and red paint, definitely not original.

That cover plate screwed over the hole where a 4spd shifter would be makes me think the th400 isn’t original. I’ve never seen an automatic truck with a removable cover plate over that hole.

Maybe decode the VIN just to know what it originally had for drivetrain.

Always wanted to do 35 spline hubs on the K5, maybe kick down the take-offs to this. If the SRW and DRW are swappable that is....

DRW to SRW is an easy conversion but hubs can be a little pricey.

hub/rotor is all that makes a dana 60 front different . so swap away .

looks like a 4" lift spring combo up front and scetchy stacked mess in the back . but looks good underside from what i see .

The cab is a new addition, don’t know the age of the frame. Tomorrow I should get pics and vids of the bed lifted and frame.

Concur on that! I don’t know what the spring pack would look like for the heavier trucks. Did not like the stacked blocks.

It could use a coat of carc 383 green paint. Awesome rig

Yes! I had also thought of camo but don’t have time for that.

It has a custome made winch bumper with chain boxes, was hoping to put a CUCV grill guard on it if it fits with the boxes. Do you know where I can find one? :pimp:

well gotta point out my pet peeve. If you get this truck redo the fuel line loose the glass filter and move it by the frame. Also those spark plug wires look to be for headers, stock Big block has long straight boots
The glass filters (there are 2) are going for sure. That engine bay will be nice to clean up.
I had not noticed boot config but I did notice the partially baked wire.

As far as your lockout hubs options go since you said it’s to be a basic farm truck you could always get a set of ‘77~’79 D60 full-time slugs and related pieces if you can find a set.

North Plains, up Pumpkin Ridge road.

Looking forward to meeting some of the Pac NW brothers!
