Anyone know where I can get the door handles mentioned in this thread? I know that they are for a chevy medium duty from the 90's but I cant seem to find em online.

Anyone have any part #'s possibly :dunno:

I'm sure I can go to the dealer, but I wanted to make sure they were correct before ordering. I will be using them to replace the ones that have broken several times before on our 98 suburban

So I'm guessing C-60's is the vehicle model #?

Oh, sorry. Like our "light duty" trucks (1/2-1 ton) are called 10, 20, 30 (and 1500, 2500, 3500), the medium duty range is 40, 50, 60 or 4500, 5500, 6500, depending on year, Chevy or GMC, etc.

I think in those years you'd see it as a C5500 or 6500; sometimes they say "Kodiak" or "TopKick". In any event I'd hope a competent dealer (which may or may not exist for Chevy any more) would know what a "medium duty" is.

I've always wanted one of those flip-down front clips for the early 70's C40-50-60 to put onto my dually. Not that the wheels would line up or anything, mind you, but I've never seen the mediums in the junk yards anyway so it doesn't really matter :)

Lemme know when your ready I will go get you one! One of our wrecking yards has 4 or 5 of them.

Yeh our '96 c4500 dumptruck @ work has those handles on it. 15yrs of construction worker abuse and the only thing theyve managed to do to em is knock out the locks. Everything else on the truck is busted/broken/falling off or generally worn the hell out, but those handles are still in 1 piece.

there is a pic of one or a member here did it. its purple if i recall and was in winter playin in the snow.

you need front clip / fender extensions to cab / fab up some stuff to make the rad stay on frame . and body lift if i recall to get all to line up. but end result is 44" tires fit real easy . and if on truck run duelly fender flares on back for wide look.
