ok this is the nv4500 all said and done and a pic of the nut that needs to be replaced and the internals as far as i can tell are in great shape just by looking in the rear and taking the front retainer off. supposedly the tranny has only 200 or 2000 on it. the reason im not putting it in is because im trying to get the motor done and i have a perfectly good sm465 that came out of this blazer and im kinda tight for money so i said what the heck just sell it so you can start driving again. and i would like to start at $900 or best offer because i have seen them go for $1600 brand new and this is basically brand new anyway. and i found out the story on the nut, when the transmission tech went to take off and put the nut on, he didnt have a spanner wrench so he used a regualar socket and thats what tore it up. and the tranny was replaced because someone was complaing that after the put new fluid in it, it was hard to shift, well it was because the put to thick of fluid in it and warranty would not cover it so the rich old man said screw it put a new one it thats why there was no core charge.

Have you opened it up to check the syncro's? The nv4500 takes only one type of fluid (which is super expensive) and putting anything else in it is supposed to ruin the syncros.

its been completly gone thru to check the syncros and the bearings and gears to make sure no damage was caused by the wrong oil. oh and it was gone thru by the Chevy transmission tech at the shop i worked at.
