Chevy Silverado ZR2 Concept Truck

It'd be nice if they put a solid axle back in the thing as part of the optioning:rolleyes:

AAGGGreed..... I personally am sick of looking at the Craptor already....I like this Silverado much better, but even this truck will probably wear out its welcome too.
Nice engine and maybe trans, but I wonder how much of a compromise the suspension is.....baja ready huh? With a 10 bolt, or maybe a 9.5 14?

All I got out of the article was carbon fiber and carbon fiber with 550 hp. Oh wow!! So where was the part about big time wheel travel like the Raptor? Just another run of the mill GM truck with low pro's and big stupid ghetto ass wheels. Oh and some skid plates.
A Raptor would smoke that show truck any day of the weak out on the trail! Anyone who disagrees obviously hasn't checked out what the Raptor is all about and what Ford did with it's suspension.

Yea i agree with Corey 78K5, Ford has owned Chevy, blasphemy? yes, but sorry chevy, all this puppy is is a response vehicle for the raptor. haha

When I see the ZR2 "show truck" do this then I will change my mind.

No thanks! I will take a F150 Raptor any day over that glorified GM mall crawler. the Raptor is a real truck... not somebodys "concept" of a good time....

1 big big problem with lifting these new body gm trucks is that stupid square fender opening. you cant stuff in big tires like a more round fender opening.

in the day i use to be able to do a level kit and +2 size the tires.

now the new square fender opening bodys its a level kit and about a + 0.75 tire size and its still tight.

thay suck.

I guess as a die hard Chevy fan, I love going for the losing team. I wish that when ford or dodge do something before Chevy, Chevy would respond with something credible, not hury up and pull a bunch of parts of the shelf and slap it on another platform!!

True but, GM has always been slow in thier retarded response towards thier rivals. I don't know who they got work'in over there but he needs to put the bong down and pay attenion to WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT!!!

I hear they produce 25% more travel then stock. On these trucks its all up travel and hardly any down travel.

I found this out getting a bran new truck with less then 300 miles 6 inches off the ground. :doah:

Didn;t I jsut start a thread about this a couple weeks ago?

although i agree Chevy is alittle slow to produce something to compete with that new Ford, the video with the Ford "performing" is well, cheesy, hell i used to drive my 2wd Datsun pick up down the same type of crap they are running that Ford down for their performance video...trying to show what it can do. lame if you ask me.

Calling it a "street legal trophy truck???"" i'd like to see that thing keep up with an ACTUAL trophy truck, or run on the same roads a trophy truck runs at those high speeds, from what i have seen, even with those new shocks, i can't see it.

Another piss ass response form Chevy.
The raptor is all about off road and with a warranty you cant beat it. When the new bigger more hits next month it will be even better. Factory locker, Manual override for all the safety stuff, real world travel, 17 inch wheel's with good tires the ford just walks all over that Chevy.

The Chevy is just a re-badged no-fear truck with a supercharger woohooo go 20's and that awesome Chevy front end.

You should really do some research on the raptor before you say things like that... It is a well built, carefully thought out off road truck. I grew up a chevy man, hated fords. Until I bought one because they would finance me on my first purchase and chevy wouldnt. In my eyes 1991 was the last year for a real chevy truck. After that, I would rather have a Ford. They are a great car or truck! well built and great performing vehicles. Thats all I have to say about that:-)
