chevy truck and olds 350 diesel???

the olds motor is a torque motor, thats why they put them is boats and motor homes. I think a stock motor would be great in a 4x4 since torque is the name of the game. if u add a aftermarket intake and headers and a towing cam, u would have more then enough power. if I can find some frame mounts for the 350 diesel then i can put in the b.b. the cool thing about Oldsmobile motor is the timing cover, valve covers, oil pan and dist. work between b.b and s.b.

Ive got a cousin with a 455 Rocket out of his old Cutlass Im thinking about snagging from him for a someday in something project but the hassle of another tranny is the only thing turning be away. Especially with my current stockpile of K-Case 700R4s

I believe you can get a trans adapter for the 7004r, im gonna look into it so maybe i can post it on here.

Jegs sell a "Trans-Dapt" brand adapter for about 70 bucks...lets you boly a B-P-O Caddy engine to a Chevy bell pattern,or vise versa....actually,I used a Chevy TH350 on a Buick I had in a bind, four out of the six bell bolts DO line up,its only the two "top" bolts that were in a different place..I just tightened the 4 bolts up GOOD and I drove the car 6 months that way, with no issues!..be best to have all 6 bolts in a 4x4 that sees any off roading though..
