chevy truck weight?

Ok so i found a 83 chevy pickup on craigslist with a good running 350 and a blown trans...The salvage yard here in marion said a vehicle goes for about $200 a ton and the guy wants 350 for the whole truck. My question is depending on what drivetrain and other little stuff i could scrap what would be the weight of this truck without the engine? He send me a picture of it and it looks like a long bed 2door..dont know exact names and info of the pickups....thanks guys!

Someone will probably have a little more accurate number, but 5000-6000 lbs is pretty common for the K5 (fully operational) and I think that should be pretty close to a longbed weight. My 72 K5 is about 5300 lbs IIRC. The 350 is about 600 lbs.

so you think this would be a good deal? kinda like a free running 350 depending on how much we get for salvaging it
