Walking around the FOB in Afghanistan I found these still at work here with the up armored trucks. Anyone see anything else out there?

When I was at Kandahar (KAF) we had a blazer m1009 and the Army and Marines also had a few of the old blazers and pickups, but none of theres moved in the 7 months I was there.

Dang thats awesome! I wish we had those when I deployed. Instead we used new 4 door Toyota Hilux's as our patrol vehicles on base. Those would have been SOOOO much better.

Been here about 9 months now. About ready to come back home and ride around in something more than Polarise 400 side by sides. The Blazers here get used all the time there is even one that has a hood scoop and plywood back window with a chevy emble in it.
We should be head back pretty soon. I am with the Guard unit from Buckley with the Chinook's. These big flying suburban's are just what's needed for out here. Everybody can get onboard and come home

ill have to hunt around for the pick but i found a lifted blazer in baf when i was there. we had alof of toyota hilux trucks running around but also a sweet toyota van that was a standard and some old russian jeep things ill see if i can find some pix

this one was found and either Kandahar or BAF cant remember now.
and my fob had 3 or 4 of these in somewhat running order
unfortunatly i dont have any pix of the van i mentioned. it was actually a pritty cool little van. It was pretty beat when we were done with it tho

That one looks familiar. Was it running hwmmv wheels backwards?
Edit: nevermind, it's a blazer not a truck. Well, now that I think about it I don't remember if it was a blazer on 1 tons or a truck...

They are pretty good too but purely ugly.

There are some strange rides running around on the Fobs. There is alot of Toyota's running around as well. The ANA use the lil Ford Rangers. The SF guys use the Toyotas and these lil Razors. It is great to see all the different rides. That was a cool Blazer with the graghics.
