ok, so some of you might know that i went to far south mexico last week. was very surprised by the wierd cars there. here's some pics of some chevy's. first one's just a cool dually i saw the first day bringing some supplies to this indigenous community we were working with. then there's the tornado. what an ugly pos. and then, finally, the modern Luv. Yep. looks like they took the original luv bed and put it on a mid 90's s10 cuadcab nose.

not of the trucks. i tried to take some pics of the chevy cars there too, which we don't have stateside, but they didn't turn out b/c usually i was driving and it was a last minute snap. however, they mostly just looked like cheap european cars - kind of like knock-offs to a golf or something.

they also have 2 door durango's down there, not the recent body style, but the one pre 03 looks great in a 2 door!

lots of funky cars, I wayyyyyyyy down in mexico 2 years ago, the weekend I got back I saw a program on armored cars and how bad the kidnapping is down there... freaked me out :) mexico city aint the place for a skinny white guy!

yep, they've also got modern ram chargers too. another strange thing was that every single tahoe i saw was 2 door, and said 2500, but they had 1/2 ton running gear. wierd.

I read a while back that the ramchargers are not in the us due to failing our saftey standards, I wonder what a new one looks like on 40 inch mtrs and blacked out rims..

i have seen several of the little trucks in the middle pic runnin around Phoenix here, but then again, we are 2nd Mexico i guess:crazy:

Texas Parks and Wildlife used to run around in the 2 door tahoe's in 3/4 ton trim. IIRC they had 14SF rear axles under them

think of a big late 90's 2 door version of a durango - essentially the "pre-minivan" durango.

...wait... is everyone talking bout the 95-99 tahoes that have two doors or are you guys taking bout a newer one('00 and up), or the 95-99 3/4 tons 2doors? I always see two door tahoes, but not 3/4.

2 door. i guess it makes sense if they're using the 14 bsf - tho i don't remember seeing a diff that big under one. it made me kind of uncomfortable to get down on hands and knees to look under the trucks (they are all very very low from the factory - essentially low riders).

I saw a Tornado in Dallas a couple of weeks ago with Mexico plates. I thought wow an El Camino.
