Chevy's in the wild

And I already saw how badly that the sheetmetal is pulled outward at every screw! Which is the biggest reason that I out it back on. And after looking at it for years, the truck looked odd with it off when installing the windshield.

Nice job Tom!
Thanks for sharing.

Does that GMT400 got the lid flipped, or a taller air filter in place?

I think it was the ole “warm air-induction” with a smaller diameter chrome somewhat flatter lid that fit the stock filter.
Gotta be worth twenty extra horsepower plus the added torque because of the chrome!

Vette looks like 78-79.
Is that out on the Fort Pickens peninsula?
I think you’re right on the years - it has the wrap around back window which started in ‘78 if I’m not mistaken and the hood bulge for those two years as well.

They were both out on Perdido Key ( west of Fort Pickens ) that’s across the P-cola Pass almost to Alabama.
Can’t go out to Fort Pickens this weekend because in order to do that ya’ gotta go through P-cola Beach and let’s just say that the beach area gets invaded on Memorial Day weekend by the “Alphabet” club community from everywhere in the country - everyone else that lives here spends this weekend at all the other areas that are nice wholesome and family friendly where ya’ don’t have to see two “guys” with multi-colored hair and lipstick walk’n hand-n-hand in high heels while wearing assless thong swimsuits and sing’n a medley of Cher songs.

All the locals damn sure don’t like it but all the business’ on the main beach island like the added economic impact so for one weekend a year Pensacola Beach becomes “The Gay Riviera” instead of being known as the Red-Neck Riviera - it sucks…

Thought I was having a late 80’s to early 90’s flashback when I came across this Monte Carlo SS and F-150 Lightning parked together - my internal jukebox started play’n Metallica's “Sandman” when I turned the corner and saw them.

The’81 K10 appears to be driven daily by a younger guy work’n at an ACE Hardware store - in the words of the late Phil Robertson “there is still hope for America”!
