Chevy's in the wild

I’ve watched that green long bed degrade down in the weeds for the past 35 damn years.. I believe that it belonged to the property owners grandfather and they have not done squat to it in almost four decades - just pains me to see this happening…

This white truck gave me some hope for Americas future. I’m not a fan of the rear end squat look and I assume that the truck is driven by a young man since it’s got that ass end squat to it BUT, to quote Jase from Duck Dynasty “ it looks like he had a little Red-Neck Redemption” - a little skinny pedal to the floor therapy if you will. There is hope for America !

The early sixties C60 has been put out to pasture for at least twenty-five years or so.

@tarussell I dig that green on that longbed. Looks like a military green.

They won't sell it or?
From what all I have heard about this truck it ain’t for sale - but you can clearly tell they ain’t doin anything with it either.
I’ve never stopped and asked about myself because it’s way on out in the country and I’m pretty certain that I heard a couple of banjos warming up so I decided not to get out of the truck !

@tarussell don't look at it for what it is, look at it for what it could be.... add some brackets, some springs, an axle, some 40's. Yeah, that's a nice truck. :D :rotfl:
Ahhh, I think that I’m smell’n what ya’ stepp’n in now - that truck could and should be saved from this form of sac religious act of lowering ( it might even be in the Bible somewhere between Genesis and Revelations and says Thou shalt not lower thy square least ye become not worthy of thous’t square ).
I’m envisioning something similar to what’s below as an occasional driver with a real damn nasty big block that just gets happier the closer it is reved up to 7,200 RPM !

I knew a guy that had one like that ( except it was a fleet side bed ) - he goes by NVRENUF on this site…
It was a simpler time when fuel was cheap and rear tires were easily replaced due to lack of traction on da’ black top - on demand !
I miss that truck and drivetrain combo - it was da’ sh%t !!

I heard " Praise the lowered " more than a few times in my life!!!
Sometimes I was in church, and it sounded the same!
:haha:

If done right, they can ride great and corner way better than a lifted truck.

You are going to hate these.

From Power Tour in Columbia SC today. Had to be over 400 lowered squares here.

Actually, I don’t totally hate the 83/84 short bed here - I suppose if I had to join the dark side this is a pretty good look. It would still have to have one hell of a big block to make up for the lack of elevation though..

The Camaro reminds me of my Brother’s first car ( 77 model with CRAGAR S/S’s ). It was significant to me because that’s when I realized that I was gonna be able to buy a car at age sixteen - Dad told me that he would match whatever I saved up ! I saved for 3-1/2 years and he kept his word and I have a simple 77 Camaro that inspired me to thank.
Good memories - thanks for posting up !
