Chevy's in the wild

Yeah except '80s stuff is going nuts also.
You can still find some '80s crap that survived cash for clunkers for decent deal but not like it used to be.
Browsing offerup today I saw a few that grabbed my attention. But I can't pull the trigger just yet, hopefully I don't miss the window of affordability.

@muddybuddy I appreciate the 67-69 but I just prefer the 80's Camaro.

Hell Yea!!!! I've always dug these cameros. One day, I'll have one.

Unpopular opinion but I prefer this body type over the '69 or so "classic muscle" era body style. Sue me... hahahahah

I had a decent one for a while. But to me it felt like the most cheaply made gm I've ever had. :dunno:
Kind of turned me off of it. Ended up selling it because my GF at the time was too dumb to drive a RWD.
Might have grown on me over time. Didn't have it long enough.

Yes, the dash and cluster have a cheap plastic vibe going on, probably because it is. But that body style. Man... hahaha I dig it.

The first pic was just a shop that seems to be gett’n ready to do some work on an old CUCV .

The second pic is a transmission shop that is putting this jewel away until they can give it some proper love.

And pic #3 is for ole TJ1978 - it’s a few years newer than your 83/84 L-69 Z/28 pic but my internal radio dial selector / juke box has adjusted and is now play’n “Bad Medicine” off of Bon Jovi’s Slippery when Wet” album !
All of the sudden the hair on the back of my head is growing longer but not the front or sides and my jeans look like they’ve been washed in acid bleach and stones…,and every chick I know has a huge can of hairspray in her purse….what’s happening !?!?!

may not exactly fit the description of a ramp truck

In my world, that is an equipment hauler.

Was it 87 that was the last year that the door decal was towards the front ?
I did not get out to check if it was a 5-spd LB9 or even one of those dual cat optioned ones - it was damn hot at mid-day and that cold A/C in the truck was mak’n me real damn lazy…

Sorry for the crappy pic but there was a few cars behind me and I didn’t have time to turn around for a better pic.
This truck is actually in fairly decent shape and has only been there for about a year - it’s at an old abandoned filling station on a road that was neglected in the mid-sixties when Interstate 10 was built. The road was actually a well traveled trail before the Civil War ,called by the old timers “Old Pensacola Road”, that was the main drag into south/west Alabama before bridges made ferries obsolete .
This old gas station held on through the 70’s but eventually went out of business like most Mom-n-Pop stores did once the interstates came along - I was about 7 yrs old the last time we filled up there; it was a simpler time…
