Chevy's in the wild

Yea, its about a half mile down the street. See it everyday. I have never stopped to look at it and there has never been a for sale sign posted.
In the desert the only thing that happens is stuff gets a layer of dirt and thats about it. Someone is maintaining it because the tires have never gone flat.

Went by there this morning and took a closer look. The front tires are new and the old cracked sidewall ones are behind the fence. The rears have some sidewall rot.
The interior is somewhat rough from what I can see. Theres an old rain weathered note still stuck in the drivers window from someone looking to buy it.
Also noticed the vehicle has Headers sticking out the bottom and it hasn't been registered since 2011. Seems to be about the time the lifted Tahoe showed up at the residence.

If its an 89 and it has headers I assume he cant get it smogged to register it in Ca. Just an assumption based on how they go over everything on my 88 with a fine tooth comb even verifying the timing is set exactly at Zero and the CAT is a CARB legal replacement. Had one idiot who refused to pass me because my timing was at +1 deg even though it passed the emissions sniff test!!

Now found this beauty on the way to look at the other

The blue short bed and red k30 were the same number, both were very very clean, that k30 would make a nice tow rig for BB 2023

My daughter called me excitedly from the park this evening to tell me she found a cool Jimmy! She insisted that I hurry down to get a picture of it.

As I rolled up on my bicycle, she admitted, "well it isn't a GMC, but it is an old Jimmy. You like that old stuff." And then she posed next to it.
