Chevy's in the wild

Todays travels found a few GM products.
Notice that the 72 Elcamino is actually a GMC Sprint - hadn’t seen an original one of those in a while. The old guy driving it was as proud as could be.

The old square wrecker looked like it has already been put out to pasture.
The ACE HARDWARE truck is a fantastic billboard display for the store !
On the 64 Impala sorry the pic ain’t that good was goin 80 on I-10 at the time.

The 56 looked like it was being brought back to life as a cruiser.

The Tahoe owner seemed to have forgotten to install the front axle shafts in the S/D running gear .

I saw a nice C10 while out to dinner tonight but i never think about taking pics. :doah:

It’s got the 80 optional square lights & bezels but has a big-hub D44 in it ( w/ Warns ) so I don’t know if it had an axle swap or maybe just parts-n-pieces from the mighty GM inventory offerings over the years.
It’s been sitting there across New Warrington Road and Speed Unlimited, next to Yomatos restaurant, for a real long time and is just literally fading away.
Looks like the ole Fact-O-Bake $195.00 paint special has not stood up to the Florida sun that well - who would have seen that coming !

Every time I see this GMT400 GMC CREW CAB DRW K-3500 all I hear is Bob Segar sing’n “Like a Rock” in those late 80’s early 90’s commercials with those Crew Cabs raising hell in a muddy field - best commercials ever made and the perfect song to go with em !

This is the end of the line for these government 1-Tons - they all were support trucks for the Navy at Sherman Air Field ( home of the Blue Angels ) on NAS Pensacola.

The V-3500 and the OBS F-350 next to it are the last of the older breed of rigs on the base. I suppose they will be auctioned off soon enough … hope they go to someone who will revive them.

I'd appreciate it if you'd get the keys to that square body dually, I'll be over with a trailer and reimburse you.
