Chevy's in the wild

Looked like the 6 on 5.5” truck center caps on back, that’s what got me wondering. Didn’t the V-drive ones sit fairly low? I honestly don’t know much about them, I just remember seeing them back when I lived in Cleveland. That was 30+ years ago, so it’s a bit fuzzy.
The v drive did sit lower but any straight axle sat high.
I don't remember any 4wd van not 8 lug

South Texas police must be easier going than they are up here. You can’t go anytime around here with an expired registration without them messing with you.
In most parts of the south the only thing that really matters is if ya’ gotta windshield on the truck - everything else is just stuff that’s nice to have like current registration, seat belts, doors and most places emissions checks are nonexistent ( the last one is actually true ).

Is it just me or is that an extra long bed?
It did look extra long to me as well.
I know that GM sold some C/20’s back then that were cab chassis built with a bed that had an additional four inches added on but I didn’t think that the 1/2 Tons ever came that way ?

Weird because gm didn't make 6 lug wide axles for van width.
These vans came in 5 or 8 lug only.
I wonder if they have spacers on the back

Most 4x4 vans are up fit. The stock rear pumpkin is offset to passenger side, this allows engine and trans to be off set also. I bet the up fitter used k or v10 for the t case and drive line, The rear drive shaft will have 2 angles to match.

That still doesn't explain the width.
Van axles are wider in the back.

I gotta find it now.. just to have a can in the shop with the other can collection we have going on.

We spent the day at a local off road park and I spotted a few Chevys out in the wilderness.

The grey square truck had a serious 540 big block in it - I liked the side exhaust exits up on the front fenders. This thing sounded amazing but ended up having fuel issues throughout the day.

The rock buggy had an LS in it so I included it with the Chevy pics.

The rest were just random trucks but there were so many more that I failed to get pics of.
