Total loser moment, but in my defense I was on the freeway doin 80 and couldn’t get my phone on it. Looked to be a completely original light olive type green ‘67 Camaro on a flatbed tow truck. Tires had air in them but you could see where they were sitting flat. Somebody has a beautiful barn find….

yep Cash for clunkers hit Kommiefornia hard. Plus the bi annual emissions tests they keep moving the line, when the car don't pass they say will give $1000.00 to crush it.

I read recently about how they destroy medium/heavy duty non-emmissions diesels. Cut holes in blocks and render them useless completely so they can't even be parted out or sold in other states.

I work for a bus company and one of the stipulations for the government to give us grants for new buses is that we must destroy the old ones. The bus has to be cut up and the engine has to have holes made in the block so it cannot be reused. We have taken several good running series 60 Detroit’s and punched holes in them. Makes me sick.

Yeah unfortunately.
But the ones that sold out of state were saved

We used to do the same thing at the bus shop, they give a grant out and they have to be busses currently on routes, proof of the engine being destroyed has to be submitted.
