Chevy's in the wild

Saw these two squares yesterday.

The K-10 was driven by a younger kid ( well, he looked about 20 yrs. old to me ) and I complimented him on his truck.
This clueless kid started to explain to me all about a truck of that vintage and how they don’t make em like that anymore - I just listened and agreed.
I didn’t have the heart to let him know that I was driving before that thing was made - - the kid could not gather the clues of damn near all grey hair on my head and old Don Williams music on my radio to let him know that I am way older than his truck.

Saw a few squares while out today.

The K5 JIMMY is just fine!

The crew cab short bed has a Duramax/Allison combo in it - it’s in a lot of local car shows around here but also drives it on the road a lot instead of making it a trailer queen.

The full-top 2WD K/5 looks like it’s been sitt’n there for a hot minute - they may have lost interest in it.

Wow - ya can really see that the creator of this tandem axle masterpiece didn’t quite understand all the mechanicals at play - lots of low hang’n fruit to pick from but the sway bar attachment point on the axle bracket with no riser to the chassis is just sad.
Ain’t even gonna start on the more serious “design” flaws and material selection on this thing - I guess this is one example of why vehicle inspections are needed.

Hey c'mon now... that fuel system plumbing is choice. :rotfl:

They're both at a used vehicle lot, when I asked if I could take a peek the lady offered me the keys. :eek1:

Might be a chevy. Couldn't get a side view of it. Quite the welding bed setup.

I've seen some with newer tailight setups. Never one like this. And the chrome roll bar.

look like late 60's T bird tail lenses. did the turn signal lights start in the middle and move to the outside ?
