Chevy's in the wild

Crappy on the fly zoomed in Pic but this was the weirdest 3rd Gen camaro convertible I've ever seen. Weird deck lid behind the seats. No back seat area.

Probably a pre factory 3RD Gen conversion - GM started regular convertibles again in ‘87 if I’m not mistaken.

Autoform was the company. Looks like they only made them from '82-'86, and then quit in '87 when Chevrolet began offering factory convertibles again (which were actually aftermarket as well, but sold through the dealership).

Autoform also built the ugly late second gen Camaro convertibles I believe.

Would that be a 396 car?
My neighbor bought a new 65 Caprice w the new 396 engine in 65. My first siting of a BBC when I was 7 yrs old.

Neighbor must have sold his Impala shortly after I started talking to him about old cars and local meet ups. This was just after I bought Plank.

Replace it with some late 90s early 2000s Cadillac. :doah:

Low and behold, guess what suddenly showed up on Fakebook marketplace! This has to be the "wife told me to sell it" price. Nice build but, uh, WOW....

I had a 79 conversion van that I converted back in the nineties.
I really want to build one now with the 96 and up vans.
I might even do an ifs setup from gmt800.
It will be a while before I recover financially but I have the van and the 2003 avalanche 3/4 ton.
