Probably a pre factory 3RD Gen conversion - GM started regular convertibles again in ‘87 if I’m not mistaken.

Autoform was the company. Looks like they only made them from '82-'86, and then quit in '87 when Chevrolet began offering factory convertibles again (which were actually aftermarket as well, but sold through the dealership).
Autoform also built the ugly late second gen Camaro convertibles I believe.

Went and got new tires mounted on the summer car and this was there.
Ls equipped however it has a carb. They are trying to get it dialed in to start easy.

The drop top Impala did have the 396 badge but no actual confirmation. Looked sweet with the white interior though!

I had a 79 conversion van that I converted back in the nineties.
I really want to build one now with the 96 and up vans.
I might even do an ifs setup from gmt800.
It will be a while before I recover financially but I have the van and the 2003 avalanche 3/4 ton.
