The owner of this ‘78~’79 ( at least I think - 76ZIMMER we need an official calling on this ? ) Vette lives directly on the water and since there’s a hurricane on the way he moved it to “higher” ground at his church parking lot to keep it dry from the rising storm surge.

I’m calling it a 78, one distinguishing feature is the gas door emblem.
78’s had a 25th anniversary emblem unique to the year.

Eileen's 79 has the 25th anniversary emblem. The dealers were ordering them and adding them to the 79's in late 78 to drive up prices on the 79's. One of the dealers was owned by a friend of my dad. He told us about it many years later. Yes, GM came down on them for it.
