The big block is in the truck, the cam is broke in and it's time to go to work! I used the old carb and HEI dist. to fire it up and break in the cam. Now I need to swap in the t/b and dist. I will need to make some changes to the chip because I am not running the original setup. I was just wondering how much power can you safely gain with chip tuning alone?

There is really nothing gained in "safe" tuning, you give the engine what it wants and it will be safe. :) Too rich or too lean, too little or too much timing, and you approach danger, and cost power.

Go check for a post regarding dyno test or tuning by burt(s?)4x4...I beleive he posted some numbers.
