all depends on what you want and how much $ you have I guess. Pros/Cons...
cast aluminum: cheaper than forged, but more spendy than steel. Lightweight. 15" sized ones won't fit on 1-ton axles due to the thickness of the AL. Beadlocked ones seem to hold up just fine to getting beat on rocks... most all aluminum beadlocks are cast and the extra support on the lip from the lock ring makes 'em pretty durable.
steel: cheap as hell, hammer fixable, heavy for their size. Will fit over 1-ton stuff in the 15" size. Easy to add your own beadlocks rings too.
forged AL: supa-bling-bling. Strong as heck, light as heck and expensive as heck. lol! Not many forged beadlock options and it wouldn't be easy to add them either.
Personally, I have eaton HD steel rims in the 15x10 size. They work fine. Someday I will probably add beadlocks to them... unless I hit the lottery, then its forged AL all the way.
