I am trying to find the chrome covers that go over the bolts that hold the door pull strap on. The dealer wants $16.27 EACH for these covers. I think that is outrageous. Anybody have any other ideas where to go ? Thanks,

-Nick

Help section at the parts store sells the whole pull for that much , only one color of pull though . But if I remember right they have the chorme ends .

Yeah, I think the HELP section has them. The chrome rectangle ones, right?

They will last forever, if you NEVER use the strap to pull the door closed.

Huh??

Wow!--$16.27 each!..No wonder I rarely see any in the junkyards!....Guess I was lucky to find 2 of them there!...I had a peice of brushed aluminum trim I was going to make some from I got at Home Depot, but I found factory ones...pretty pricey for a 1 inch hunk of plastic, that snaps like peanut brittle in the cold weather... :screwy:

HELP! Section at O'Riley's and Autozone have them, just the chrome cover for just a couple of bucks

The trick with the covers is to remove them, and tighten the strap from time to time. I've had the same set for years. I give the same advice every time I sell them, at $10.39 each.
