Chrome

Here's another with a "looks good for the Friday nights but still built up underneith to take a little weekend wheeling." type of K5.

Don't let the "moon buggies rule and bling drools" guys bother you. They are just narrow minded and haven't quite grasped that there are more types of people roaming the planet besides them.:D

I'd definantly use aluminum rims, not steel that have been chrome plated, that looks cheesy. Just keep the alums. clean most of the time and that should drastically slow down the oxidation process.

Check out LMC truck, they have TONS of original chrome and non chrome parts for our trucks.

Exactly what hey said

I agree. There are more "show" trucks here than I thought. Thank goodness. If you want a "wheeler only" that's fine, but I'm more into something I can use off road and ON road. I like the "nice", "show" trucks. That's what mine is and if I knew how to post a pic I'd put one up. :D

I remember, a couple of decades ago, when I was an undergrad and knew better than everyone else. It's a fairly common condition, and it occurs in millions of college students.

"chrome don't get ya home" :thumb:

that said, wanna buy a super blinging front bumper? Got one on my tow rig that I don't need...

well, ok. didn't realize there were that many guys on here into that sort of rig. guess i was wrong.

Well ... dangit. I have a truck I crawl with, which is devoid of trim and chrome and such ... and a street truck, which I've got to some lengths to de-chrome. (But it IS camo painted :haha: )

Anyway, yeah, each own, and CK5 has people to support most of us. (Eric M needs to start a dually support group though! :D )

JC Whitney is a good place to start, but if you pick a brand, Google for it, as you can find places that are considerably cheaper than JCW. (Service is another matter, but then JCW isn't renowned for that themselves.)
