Brother, you have no idea how Freakin Stoked and fortunate I Know I am, to Still be amongs the living here at my favorite site CK5. This site has been a part of my cancer and brain tumor fight since the day I nearly died in my shower May 5th 2012. I’ll be 71 in another 20.

I’ll be here in another 20. You can bet your ass on it as far as I am concerned. Bookmark this thread. I’ll post up “Hay! You Foks still alive!!?? Lol”

Anybody want to take a bet up on it? Come on, I want commitment from loyal dedicated members for the site for another 20. (Minimum ).


So in 20 years if I’m still alive someone bet me say $1000? Or pay me $1000. Cause you’re going to be paying...not winning. Lol!

Like candy from a baby. Remember I’ve got my 6 brain tumor in my brain and a 6th on my kidney. Logically, odds are in Your favor. My son will pay my bet for me for sure. It’s all in fun. Seriously. But yeah you’re going to lose $1000 just so ya know.

Anybody doubt me? Think I’m insane for thinking what Anybody would think is just nonsense? Nooope. Not worried about a thing. I’ve got this. I’ve got a brain tumor to evict, and a kidney tumor to kill off. I’m working on it. 20 years.....you all better be here!!!

And tomorrow I will be wearing my vintage 10th anniversary CK5 shirt. She’s getting pretty tattered but still one of my favorites. I had two. The other shirt was wore out and used as a shop rag long ago. This was the second shirt that saw little wear until the first shirt gave it up. I’ve been wearing this one for a long time. I’ll run it until the bitter end too lol!

Wonder if the 20th anniversary CK5 shirt will drop in next 2 weeks.

Yeah I kinda had a “WTF” moment for quite awhile after I joined. Site was really rolling at that point

The first time I attempted to fix up my blazer I think was about 2000. I remember finding this site back then and making an account, but lost track of everything for about 10 years.
Crazy to think back on everything that has changed in the last 20 year .

been around 16 of the 20 years....found the site during a search for information on my K5...the site has changed over the years, but it had always been a source of knowledge and a great group of people that I have come to call my 2nd family...

I have met a few of you, purchased parts and a truck, even checked out a quad and trailered it out to Moab for another member that I had never met before in my life.

This is what is so cool about the site, "the brotherhood"... when someone needs help, be it information, parts, broken-down in a unfamiliar place, or just some good old friends to lean on, the brotherhood always steps up to the plate. I've seen it time and time again... If any noobs are out there and read this post and are on the fence about spending a few bucks a year to join, all I can say is you don't know what you are missing out on.. great bunch of people doing great things for each other every day...

This place rocks !!!

Wow 20 years! This site used to always pop up when I was doing 4x4 research, but it wasn’t until about 10years ago that I finally dug a little deeper into this sight to see what all it had to offer, and that’s when it all changed. I have met quite a few people from this website and made some lifelong friends from here on out now. When I talk about the brotherhood, people really don’t understand the “brother” part coming from brothers all over the US. And I really feel that most on here are like older brothers to me. Letting me know when a decision is stupid, or letting me know when I’ve done great works of works. Massive thanks to @CK5 for all the massive work and support he has put into this website. And thanks to all who have put time and effort into helping me.

Edit: I've been here 17 years of the 20, time sure has flown by.

Back when I first joined I was hauling parts all over the western half of the country to pay for trips to visit my daughter. Met 100s of other CK5ers in the process. Of course, back then I had to write phone numbers down on paper before the trip and call from payphones...
