purchased mine in January.
week 1 -radiator hose blew off
week 2 -power steering pump hose
lasted for a while
April 11th, lost a trans in New Orleans and I live in Pensacola...
3,000 miles later I lost trans #2
installed a th350 and with 11 miles on the clock drove to Lafayette, La. and went through 3 1/2 gallons of trans fluid before making it back home. Tightened lines and its fine for the moment.

Not the worst luck but the previous owner said he would drive it to California when I bought it. Oh and he's my brother-in-law.

Throughout my 7 years or so of wheeling:

Had to replace 1 driveshaft u-joint on the drive out to Moab
Broke 1 front 297-x u-joint (dana 44 joint)
Replace 5 Napa lifetime alternators :angry1:
Broke 2 valve springs, one resulting in a dropped valve :angry1:
Broke a 1310 yoke/u-joint
Sheared the bearing journal off a 12 bolt detroit taking the ring and pinion with it
Twisted the rear driveshaft into two
Broke a dana 60 30 spline stub and Warn lockout
Distributor kept dropping spark which is FINALLY fixed :doah:
Broke a 465/205 adapter
I need to replace the starter thats in it now
Mystery electrical problem that resulted in rewiring the truck from scratch

That's all I can think of for now, though its only HAD to be on the trailer a couple times.

Basically I'm really lucky if I'm not working on the truck right up to the minute we have to leave :doah:
