ck5 slow death? google trends decline

Yep, I'm here for the long haul.

With all of the news / social media manipulation nowadays I don't think I would believe internet query statistics.

I'm waiting on the day to come where people that have jumped ship away from forums realize that the instant gratification, look at me media like IG, TikTok, etc are useless when they want to figure out how to fix crap.

With the election, economy, and covid malaise $$ is tight and stress is up. Things will get back to normal I believe, when this nonsense is over and people can get back without the riots, covid rat bastards "telling" on them, etc. things will pick back up.

It doesn't really matter. All forum trendlines have been going that way. CK5 is still the best on the net, and its refreshing to actually use a forum instead of the other forms of social media.

Spot on

lifer..... it has gotten exceptionally slow in here....

Well, I feel like most questions about trucks that are 30+ years old now have been answered, maybe lack of new content isn't a bad thing lol

I still like the environment of this forum. I don't get on the popular social media daily, but usually in here twice a day at a minimum. If I have time and am into something on here, my involvement goes way up.
But life happens, so I attend to it when needed and have to ignore my entertainment place some.
:frown1:

Sticking around. Back when it started social media wasn't a "thing". Now social media is massive. Go into any facebook group and ask a question. Garbage interface. Nothing is searchable for later. I don't like it. I'll stay here for sure.

Sounds like I may have been ahead of the curve with my wondering about old members. Good time to check on lost souls and invite them to drop in again........
The only thing about this place that is a little off-putting, was what @rderosier mentioned, and I did also in the other thread. Most all the usual problems have been solved.
Its pretty hard to get excited about a death wobble or brake problem anymore.
But things are still too interesting to leave, or even fail to log in at least once a day.

I'll be here as long as the forum is. I really enjoy it and think the content is better than Facebook. The groups on Facebook don't have the feel this forum does and that's one of the reasons I'm here.

I've noticed that the numbers are down over the years. I will continue to have my dues on auto pay as long as there is a CK5 on the web.

I don't post much but have definitely used the search for everything I can think of on a square body. Whenever I run across someone driving an older Chevy pickup/Blazer/suburban, I always ask them if they are using CK5 to help with there build. Most reply that they've seen it or tried it as a guest...so I always try to encourage them to go premium.

CK5 members are more responsive in answering questions. I've posted tech questions in Audi forums trying to troubleshoot items on my daughter's A3. Most didn't get answered in the threads, but just by being able to figure it out eventually and having a big enough hammer.
