CK5 swap and sell M1009

1986 M1009
Bought this Blazer from a member here. He was just too close to me not to get it. I’ve wanted one for quite some time. 6555DACC-1D3A-4E36-99AD-7B87D6A66716.jpeg9FDE2A56-0012-4A8E-8487-CC2FBFBD58E9.jpeg856AA185-7FE5-46F1-A8F4-51A80474E16F.jpeg

A buddy of mine kept telling me he thought the drive line angle looked off. he thought it had a hard angle. So after an investigation, I figured out that the cross member had been pushed up hard. 1 3/16 hard. it had been pushed up so hard at some point that it had dented the floor above. These military blazers don’t get treated easy. these things get loaded on trailers with fork lifts. It could have been bent like that, or some serious off reading. I’m going with forklift.

I’m in the process of painting them and getting new tires. Current tires are old, tired and dry rotted. 51076F57-6944-4504-89BD-09222DCA8716.jpeg
found some M1009 seats. Didn’t realize till I got them home that it was two passenger sides. I did just swap the seat slides from my current seats .

I did pull the top back, I will have a little rust to deal with, but it’s minimal.

I'm about to change the harmonic balancer as the engine does have 126000 on the odometer. Stay tuned.

That one look pretty clean! I've wanted a diesel K5 as far back as I can recall. Good luck with the build!
