CK5'ers on Miller Jeep Trail socal*pics*

hey Bern
just let me know what pictures you want the full size, high resolution versions for an I'll email them to ya.

This was a "best day".

Devin, Justin, and Dominic, it was a complete pleasure all day wheeling with you guys. 3 Suburbans, I was so happy I was giddy!

CK5'ers are indeed wonderful folks to meet and spend time with.

Dominic and I were Detroited, Justin was spooled up, and it was like watching 3 Caterpillar D6's go up those trails! :haha: Man, I was really hoping to come up on some jeeps...They would have been :eek1: because sections of the trail are tight.

And, lo and behold, the first time my truck actually is pictured on CK5. Finally! :haha:

Don't feel that way.

Just plan on meeting us all at Hungry Valley in Gorman on 9/24. CORVA Jamboree and 4Wheel mag. will be there. :D

I should be able to make that date no problem...Looking forward to another trip WHAT A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what I have been looking for!
It looks like 3 diferent lift highths in the pic, and U all went on the same trail.
Who has what, and how did they compair to each other on the trail?
I can't decide on a lift size for my newest burb project
I like the look of the big one in the midle, but I don't want that "tipy" feeling on side hills, do U get it with that big of a Burb?

true, but only have the weekend to get it done. think wify will be a little teed-off if i were to go :(

As far as I could tell the huge burb didn't look all that tipys to me. The other burb is on a 4" lift on 35's IIRC. And mine the tan one has 4" lift on 36's it dosen't fill tipsy at all. I think the long WB helps out a lot.

This sucks, I missed the first trip and now I am going to be gone the weekend of 9-24-05 :( :doah:

The first part of the trail is called lockwood trail IIRC. And then you hit the 2nd part of the trail which is the miller jeep trail. The pictures don't do the trail justice. It's pretty tight and all up hill on miller but nothing we couldn't fit through. the only thing I was worried about was the egine was getting real hot. so to answer your question I have no idea.

First part is called the Lockwood Re-Route. Original route was down in the creek bed from the 'Gatekeeper' to the foot of Miller Jeep Trail. A frog or other BS reason caused the re-routing.
Don't know the origin of the "Jeep Trail" name either, but I do know that every non-jeep group "re-names" it in their favor.

Anyone gonna do Pt Mugu's FriteNight run up that trail in the dark?

I'm considering it

I'll likely be one of the riff-raff hanging out spectating @ Ka-Bob Hill. I recognize your Sub from Ruben's, I think.
