would you guys use mineral spirits or paint stripper?
there both cheap. I cant spend 50 bucks on solvent

What are you working on? If it's a differential, I just blast it with brake cleaner.

transfer case internals, they dont know how to stock brake cleaner here

local supply shop to me quit selling brake cleaner . they get mass air flow cleaner cheeper and does the same job . they even passed the savings on to the end buyer .

i wouldn't use stripper.. mineral spirits is fine if wiped after.. lacquer thinner would work way better and dry off... under $20 a gal usually at the hardware store..

You could always use diesel. That's what I use to clean pretty much everything
